About My Art
My art is a mixture of various styles and media. I have loved doing art from a very early age. My mother was a great inspiration in encouraging me to use the gift God has given me. She taught me at a young age to explore art, to feel it with my heart and to express it with my hands. She took the time to show me techniques and teach me how to see and discover things through new eyes. **NOTE: Mom, to you I say, "THANKS, I love you!" This page is dedicated to you and my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who has blessed me with the gift of art.
My Art: Laurie With Love
Over the years I have completed many art pieces for shows, others as requested for personalized gifts or galleries, as well as for CD and Book Covers, and illustrations for Children's books and newsletters. I have donated my work to charities to raise money for abused and "at risk" children and to our local hospital for fund raisers to give to those in need.
My art has always been a gift I express from a heart of love. Therefore each time I, as the artist of "Laurie With Love" provide the service of creating a piece of art for my customer, they can trust it has been done with a deep love filled with compassion. God has given me this gift and I want to share it with each of you to bless your lives and the lives of others.
This year I was selected as a Living Artist for the year 2003. This means two pieces of my artwork are featured in the "Encyclopedia of Living Artists Directory -Edition 13" and is on sale at many major or local book stores. Reprints of featured pieces will be announced soon and available for sale.
